Taxis

The national transport company Mowasalat operates the bus, taxi and limousine service Karwa. Taxi fares around Doha vary according to the time of day and type of vehicle. Participants are advised to confirm the fare in advance of their journey. We recommend that you take a taxi if you miss the bus provided by the organizer, or if you want to visit local attractions, as this is the most convenient way of getting around Doha. Taxi booking line: (+974) 4458 8888.

Buses

Mowasalat also has a bus network servicing all areas within the State of Qatar. The most affordable transport option, buses are available from the main bus station or from various designated bus stops across the city. Enquiries can be made at (+974) 44588869. However, we recommend that you take a taxi if you miss the bus provided by the organizer or if you want to visit the local attractions, as this is the most convenient way of getting around Doha.

Tourist Buses

Two tourist bus services were recently introduced to Doha. Doha Bus is a hop-on, hop-off bus service . Tickets need to be purchased in advance.

The other tourist bus service is operated by Qatar Museums as a shuttle between the Museum of Islamic Art and the Arab Museum of Modern Art (Mathaf) and is free of charge. It operates from Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
